Application of surface active agent to polyaniline coating CB

Using in-situ polymerization method, the author synthesized carbon black (CB)/polyaniline (PANI) conductive composite particles by adding CB and surfactant SY in the environment of hydrochloric acid and taking ammonium persulfate as oxidant. The conductivity of CB/PANI composite particles was tested and their morphologies were characterized. The results indicate that the conductivity of the composite particles with the surfactant added is three orders of magnitude higher than that without surfactant added. When the mole ratio of aniline to the surfactant SY is 5:1, the conductivity of the composite particles is the highest, up to 4.1 × 103 S/cm.
