Method to design a transition section with cosinusoidal profile

摘要
A transition section (used to transmit TE01 mode efficiently) with cosinusoidal profile is proposed in this paper. The operation principle and a method to design the section is studied. By the method, as an example, a 94GHz transition section is designed. Comparison between the calculations by our codes and simulations by HFSS indicate that our method is feasible. ©2009 IEEE.
