Research of neighborhood design method based on digital simulation technique

Under the rapid development of computer and digital technique, a neighborhood design method based on GIS and CFD technique is developed in this paper. The method includes suitability evaluation of surface factors by GIS at earlier stage, evaluation of environment factors by CFD model at middle stage, and comprehensive evaluation of environment suitability at last stage. A case of Qingshan depot project of the fourth Wuhan metro line is applied to show the application result of the design method, which is used to verify the method's feasibility and practicality. At the end of the paper, the advantages and disadvantages of the design method are described, which will provide reference for digital study on ecological architectural environment. ©2009 IEEE.
