Poröse Polymerschale: Ein multifunktionelles, polymerisierbares Tensid auf Basis einer ionischen Flüssigkeit (IL) findet Anwendung in der Synthese größenvariierbarer Siliciumoxidkugeln. Anschließende Templatsynthese liefert hohle Kapseln mit mesoporöser Polymernetzwerk-Schale und angeknüpften IL-Einheiten (siehe Bild). Die Porengröße der Schale ist reversibel durch Austausch der Gegenionen (blaue und rote Kreise) der IL-Einheiten einstellbar.
