Single-crystal MgB2 hexagonal microprisms via hybrid physical-chemical vapor deposition

Single-crystal MgB2 hexagonal microprisms of 30 mu m have been produced in large scale by a facile hybrid physical-chemical vapor deposition method. These microprisms show perfect single-crystal structure and superconducting properties. The morphological variations corresponding to different growing stages are revealed and the possible growth mechanism is suggested.
