Dynamic analysis and simulation of single-closed-loop mechanism with a screw pair

Based on the structure analysis of the mechanism with a screw pair, the characteristics of single-closed-loop RRRSH mechanism are described, and its position solution is given. Using two methods of the differential method and the first-order and second-order influence matrix method, the curves of speed and acceleration are given. The coincidence of curves testifies the correctness of the influence coefficient matrix. Using the speed and acceleration's global performance indicators, performance maps of RRRSH mechanism are drawn. Then from these maps, the optimum size of the mechanism is found. Finally a dynamic simulation of the mechanism is given. The simulation results further verify the correctness of the influence coefficient matrix. All these studies provide a theoretical basis for further research of the mechanism with screw pair. © 2011 ISSN 1881-803X.
