High-resolution spectroscopy was used to examine gain characteristics of Cr-grating complex-coupled distributed-feedback (DFB) lasers near 2.4 $\mu$m. The single-mode lasers contain InGaAsSb–AlGaAsSb active regions grown by molecular beam epitaxy on GaSb.
