Feasibility of a high-resolution pixellated detector for C-SPECT
Nuclear Science Symposium Conference Record(2009)
Abstract
We have investigated the feasibility of utilizing high resolution pixellated NaI(Tl) detectors for C-SPECT, a high performance imaging system to be designed for cardiac applications. Conventional 1.5¿ single-anode PMTs were used as light detection devices. A detector module with 2.9 à 2.9 à 5 mm3 pixels (Saint-Gobain) was evaluated in terms of decoding map quality and energy resolution. Furthermore, two 3.2 à 3.2 à 10 mm3 in-house modules with Teflon and Lumirror were built to investigate higher sensitivity detectors and different reflector materials.
