Leukocyte telomere length and coronary artery calcification in Palestinians.

•Leukocyte telomere length (LTL) has been associated with coronary heart disease.•The association of LTL with measures of preclinical atherosclerosis is inconsistent.•We examined this question in a sample of urban Palestinians.•LTL was inversely associated with asymptomatic coronary artery calcification.•The mechanism behind this relationship remains unknown.
