摘要

•A multiplex RT-PCR-ELISA for identifying four distinct species of tospovirus was developed.•The developed multiplex RT-PCR-ELISA was 10–1000 times more sensitive for tospovirus identification in field-collected plant samples than conventional RT-PCR.•The developed multiplex RT-PCR-ELISA assay can be applied to other tospovirus species.
