The development of a brief self-report questionnaire to measure ‘recent’ Rash Impulsivity: A preliminary investigation of its validity and association with recent alcohol consumption

•We develop a brief self-report scale to assess ‘Recent’ Rash Impulsivity (the RRIS).•The RRIS is piloted and subjected to initial validation.•The construct of Recent Rash Impulsivity can be measured via self-report.•Levels of Recent Rash Impulsivity relate to levels of recent alcohol consumption.
