APPLICATION OF MULTIPLEX BRANCHED DNA LIQUIDCHIP TECHNOLOGY (MBL) FOR OPTIMAL SELECTION OF CHEMOTHERAPY IN ELDERLY PATIENTS

Introduction: It has been well established that elderly patients with advanced cancer are more vulnerable to the toxicities of chemotherapy. Therefore before initiation of treatment, the elderly patients must be examined to determine whether the benefits of chemotherapy outweigh the potential risks. Targeted chemotherapy is an important option for treating elderly patients as it may ultimately result in fewer side effects.
