摘要

•A novel metal ion-assisted drug-loading model was developed to improve drug-loading efficiency.•FT-IR, Raman, fluorescence analyses were used to study DPPC:M2+ drug-loading liposome.•The mechanism of higher drug encapsulation efficiency was clarified.•The cell cytotoxicity of metal ion-assisted drug-loading liposomes was increased.
