Simultaneous determination of eleven compounds related to metabolism of bioamines in rat cortex and hippocampus by HPLC-ECD with boron-doped diamond working electrode.

•The BDD (boron-doped diamond) electrode was used as working electrode of electrochemical detector.•HPLC-ECD method was developed for simultaneous determination of eleven analytes related to metabolism of bioamines in rat brain.•Vanillic acid was selected as IS for quantification of the eleven analytes.•The concentrations of the 11 compounds were compared in cortex and hippocampus collected from the same rats.
