Introduction. - Psoriasis (P) is a dermatosis that can affect relationships and sexuality. We propose to determine the frequency of sexual dysfunction (TS), their causes, types and associated factors in patients with P.Material and methods. -This is a prospective study during 10 months of patients with vulgaris P. in a first step, the study was descriptive and than analytical.Results. - Six (six women and 10 men) from 86 patients included had TS (18.6%). There is a statistically significant relationship between the TS and the area of lesion skin (SCA) (P = 0.000), location on male external genitalia (P = 0.046), the association with depressive symptoms (P = 0.006) or mood disorders (P = 0.013), the notion of hospitalization (P = 0.031) and unfavorable outcome (P = 0.016).Discussion. - In our study, TS are less frequent than in most published series. This can be explained by the specific criteria of the study and that sexuality is still a taboo subject in our country. Our results were consistent with other series with respect to age, sex, duration of disease, depressive symptoms, but not with regard to alcoholism, pruritus and the area of lesion skin.Conclusion. - TS are quite common in the P and are associated with extensive P, location on male external genitalia, depressive or mood symptoms and hospitalization.
