摘要
As mental health research expands globally, it is imperative to develop a multinational perspective on policies governing human research on schizophrenia. The research priorities established by the Grand Challenges in Global Mental Health (GCGMH) provide a useful framework for examining policies and system implications for schizophrenia research worldwide. Responsibility for pursuing the GCGMH agenda resides in governments and research institutions of all countries. However, it is incumbent on high-income countries to promote studies on schizophrenia in low- and middle-income countries and to assist in developing their research institutions and human research capacity.
