摘要

•Tree density declined with increasing DBH.•Mean daily tree water use (TWU) ranged between 5 and 50kgd−1 and was significantly correlated with DBH.•Trees with DBH >10cm transpired 370–450mmyr−1, accounting for 36–43% of potential soil water uptake.•The total evapotranspiration (ET) was estimated at 3.6mmd−1.
