Assessment of Pulmonary Capillary Endothelial Function in an Ards Patient on Extracorporeal CO2 Removal

These preliminary data i) confirm that PCEB ACE activity is reduced in ARDS, whereas it is not altered by ECCO2R application per se, and ii) suggest that PCEB ACE activity correlates with the clinical severity of ARDS and may serve as a quantifiable index of the severity of the syndrome and its response to treatment.
