Small Cell Carcinoma of the Bladder: A Single Centre Experience 2001–2013

Purpose: Small cell carcinoma of the bladder (SCCB) is associated with poor outcomes. Given its rarity, there is no consensus regarding its management but neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in locoregional disease is recognised to improve outcome [1–3]. SCCB cases treated at our centre from 1986 to 1998 had a median overall survival (OS) of 8.8 months [4]. We now report on cases treated from 2001 to 2013.
