New Polymer Technology for Hydrogenated Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Rubber

Zeon Corporation has developed a line of unique hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubbers (HNBR's). The new range of polymers exhibits significant improvement in compression set which is one of the most important properties for sealing applications. Additional grades are being developed within this range which will take advantage of this new technology. This paper introduces the features of two of these new products and some of their advantages compared to conventional HNBR polymers.
