摘要
Genetic variability, correlation and path analysis were studied over 4 environments for yield and yield attributes in 28 scented genotypes along with one non-scented check Ratna. The magnitude of different genetic parameters, correlation coefficients, direct and indirect effects of yield components varied from environment to environment indicating the genotype and environment interaction in the expression of the different traits. However, the results clearly indicated that the GCV, PCV, heritability and genetic advance (percentage of mean) were high for number of grains/panicle and harvest index in all the 4 environments as well as in pooled analysis. Significant positive correlation was observed for above two characters with grain yield In all the 4 environments and pooled data. The path analysis also revealed the importance of number of grains/panicle and harvest index for the improvement of grain yield in scented rice.
