Towards Understanding the Solar Atmosphere

This paper is partly a review of recent work by the author and colleagues and partly the presentation of new work in progress. Detailed presentations of the work can be found in Doschek, Mariska, & Akiyama (2004), Doschek & Feldman (2004), Akiyama, Doschek, & Mariska (2005), Warren & Doschek (2005), Doschek & Warren (2005), and Doschek (2006). Below I discuss some of the new work to be published by Doschek (2006).
