On the Functional Approach to Locally D-Optimum Design for Multiresponse Models

D-optimum experimental designs are investigated for a multiresponse kinetic model of two consecutive first-order reactions. The model is nonlinear and consists of a set of ordinary differential equations. We demonstrate how the functional approach can be adapted to numerically construct optimal designs in this setting.
