A New Nonparametric Test for the Umbrella Alternative

A nonparametric test for the umbrella alternative with known peak is proposed. This test should generally have higher powers than the general alternative Kruskal-Wallis test when at least one of the means is different and the umbrella alternative holds. The powers should be lower than the Mack-Wolfe test in situations where the means are different and the umbrella alternative is not true.
