Recent Production of the Highest Energy Cosmic Rays and the Puzzles of Their Origin

The observed characteristics of the three highest energy cosmic ray events have given rise to sump entangled question an their origin and nature. The field, is, thus, now charged with speculation and controversies.We would attempt at providing some clues to understand thereported features of the Fly's eye, the Yakutsuk and the AGASA events from the viewpoint of some typically non standard ideas and an approach based on them.
