Photocatalytic decomposition of gaseous isopropanol in a tubular optical fiber reactor under periodic UV-LED illumination

•Optical fibers were used to extend the illuminated area.•Effect of periodic illumination was investigated in gaseous photocatalytic system.•The frequency of periodic illumination first is discussed in this study.•Both the removal efficiencies and quantum yields of IPA decomposition are enhanced.
