Changes in corneal thickness by miniscleral contact lenses

Purpose: To measure the corneal thickness variation induced by miniscleral Contact Lenses (MSCL) and to compare it with Silicone Hydrogel CL (SHCL) Method * 40 eyes (20 subjects, mean age of 24 ± 6 years), healthy and with normal shape corneas were investigated. A MSCL was fitted to right eye and a SHCL to left eye. Corneal thickness values were acquired through a Scheimpflug camera before fitting CL and after wearing them for 5 h.
