Transport And Magnetic Critical Current Normal To Ab-Plane For Textured Yba2cu3o7-X

We prepared YBa2Cu3O7-x(YBCO) samples with large size in c axis by Powder Melt Procession (PMP) and measured Jc(c,ab) electrically and magnetically. The Jc(c,ab) of 2 x 10(4)A/cm2 and field dependence are obtained. The microstructure of the PMP samples was examined. We found the sample with fewer normal particles and more apparent cracks in the ab planes had smaller Jc(c,ab). The Influence of normal particle on crack and Jc and the effect of pinning on anisotropy of Jc are discussed.
