ObjectiveTo determine whether different modes of induction can impact the success rate and perinatal morbidity of women undergoing trial of labor after cesarean (TOLAC).Study DesignRetrospective review of the electronic database created by the Consortium of Safe Labor, reflecting labor and delivery information from 12 clinical centers (19 hospitals) from 2002-2008. All women with a prior cesarean birth, desiring TOLAC, who required induction of labor were included. Induction methods considered were amniotomy, oxytocin, Foley bulb or prostaglandins. Data was extracted on serious maternal and neonatal morbidity.
