摘要
proxy for comparing triplet test scores. RESULTS: Triplets with an adjusted age of six months to 2 years were tested using the BSID-II on at least one occasion and some of these triplets were tested a second time. On both occasions, triplets scored significantly lower than singletons (Table I). Triplets over 2 years did not significantly differ from singletons using the KBIT-2. Triplets scored a significantly higher average score than singletons using the BOT-2 Standard Score. CONCLUSION: Early analysis of triplets, with an adjusted age of 6 months to 2 years of age, display a significantly lower cognitive development when compared to singleton pregnancies, but this observation disappears when they reach age two. In fact, the motor development of triplets in our study show advanced skills when compared to singletons. This observation is possibly related to the phenomenon known as catch-up growth/development. These data may be biased due to the high percentage of assisted reproductive technology used, implying a higher likelihood of affluent households.
