Observability of the heavy Z'B?L decaying into e+e? at the LHC

This paper presents the discovery potential for neutral heavy Z' bosons decaying into an electron-positron pair at the large hadron collider. The analysis focuses on the direct search for neutral heavy Z' bosons predicted by the low-scale U(1)(B-L) extension of the Standard Model. The Z'(B-L) boson could be discovered in the e(+)e(-) channel in the mass region 800 < M-Z' < 1000 GeV/c(2) with an integrated luminosity of 10 fb(-1).
