Low cost NiS as an efficient counter electrode for dye-sensitized solar cells

摘要
In this paper, sphere-like NiS was synthesized by solvothermal method. Furthermore, the electrocatalytic performance of NiS was tested as counter cells (CEs) of Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Resulting from the inherent catalytic property and charge transfer ability, NiS exhibited excellent electrocatalytic performance towards I−/I3- redox reaction. And the power conversion efficiency of NiS CE (PCE=7.39%) was better than that of commercial Pt CE (PCE=7.06%).
