摘要

•A design study of a high granulated CsI (Tl) array at HIRFL-CSR was presented.•The performance of the array was obtained by Monte Carlo simulations.•The CsI (Tl) scintillators coupled to APDs were tested with different wrappings.•A set of front-end readout electronics was developed based on ASIC chips.
