摘要
With endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), large, sessile lesions of the colon can be resected endoscopically rather than surgically. While the majority of patients that undergo EMR are over the age of 50, the octogenarian patient population in particular could significantly benefit from EMR, avoiding a surgery that carries more morbidity and even mortality. However, little is known about EMR outcomes in the very elderly patient population.
