Fully vision-based automatic human body measurement system for apparel application

•The automatic body measurement system which is based on the fully vision technology is described.•A portable system package is used to measure body dimensions.•The system requires no naked body for the privacy and convenience in a noncontact manner.•In cluttered indoor environment, the system could quickly and robustly measure the circumference via processing images.
