Anti-inflammatory activity and phenolic composition of Dendropanax morbifera leaf extracts

•Methanolic extracts of Dendropanax morbifera leaves exhibited the anti-inflammatory activity.•Methanolic extracts suppressed the production of LPS-induced pro-inflammatory mediators and cytokines.•Methanolic extracts exhibited anti-inflammatory action via the suppression of the ERK1/2 signaling pathway.•Out of 22 phenolic compounds quantified, rutin was the most abundant.
