Teaching the Psychology of Men: Four Experienced Professors Describe Their Courses.

Teaching the psychology of men is an underdeveloped area of pedagogy in psychology. Very few psychology of men courses have been described in the literature. Four professors of the psychology of men describe their courses and discuss their teaching processes and techniques. Both graduate and undergraduate classes are described. Commonalities and divergences in how the courses are structured and implemented are apparent in the course descriptions. The courses use an array of approaches including psychoeducational interventions and a variety of teaching strategies and techniques. A common theme from the professors describing their courses is how challenging, stimulating, and enjoyable it is to teach the psychology of men.
