摘要

•A hexa-histidine(6xHIS)-tag was expressed on the FMDV particle.•A virus with acid resistance was produced by replacing VP1/VP2 amino acids.•The stable/tagged antigen is stable under an acid condition of pH 6.0.•Mice immunized with stable/tagged antigen after pH 6.0 treatment showed complete protection.
