Affinity purification of native glycodelin from amniotic fluids for biological investigations and development of a glycodelin ELISA for clinical studies.

•Glycodelin was purified from amniotic fluid for raising a glycodelin antibody.•A sensitive glycodelin ELISA was established to determine glycodelin in serum.•High molecular complexes were not found in amniotic fluid.•Functional studies will be possible with native glycodelin carbohydrate structure.
