摘要
User Centered Designers commonly classify user groups based on national borders. This paper investigates the relationships between other cultural and individual factors that may affect user interaction with technology. A survey was conducted on 254 participants from Egypt, Germany and India to investigate how personality, geographic allocation, cognition and gender may affect the display of the psychological behavior Fundamental Attribution Error. The Fundamental Attribution Error was used to represent a measurable psychological behavior to highlight behavioral differences. In addition, the relationships between the factors mentioned above were investigated to find possible tendencies and patterns. Results show that fundamental attribution error was only affected by personality and that there were correlations between personality, gender and country. This result could be considered a wake-up call for designers to consider different factors when users are grouped worldwide.
