摘要
he modern day car navigation systems have three main tasks: 1) Positioning, 2) Routing and 3) Navigation, where GPS has become the standard Technology that is being used. However GPS has some limitations when it comes to precision of the data presented. This paper presents the development of a new system hat deploys numerous novel wireless technologies to assist high precision localization and reliable navigation thereby ensuring a paradigm shift to smarter Transportation Systems. They serve the necessity for each car to communicate with the other cars in the vicinity and the system in order to acquire real-time knowledge of the environment. To this aim, the MS project proposes an idea of intelligent vehicular communication and positioning systems, that would ensure more safety, security, driver assistance, traffic efficiency, infotainment and sharing the knowledge about environmental conditions and warnings with other participants.
