Application of multiobjective neural predictive control to biventricular assistance using dual rotary blood pumps.

•A multiobjective neural network predictive controller is proposed for a BiVAD.•The controller is able to alleviate pulmonary congestion and ventricular suction.•The proposed controller outperformed Dual-Independent FS and constant speed modes.•The proposed controller remained robust in the presence of sensor noise and delays.
