摘要
•A new technique for characterization of three-dimensional curves, based on thermodynamic analogies, is proposed.•Human coronary arteries are characterized by means of a comprehensive set of geometrical descriptors.•The results support the hypothesis that there is an association between arterial geometry and coronary diseases.•The shape of the RCA artery can be classified using the proposed methodology.
