摘要

•CO2/IL biphasic system was used for the production of propylene carbonate from CO2 and epoxide.•CO2 was used as reactant and solvent for product recovery (from reaction mixture).•[ALIQUAT][Cl] has effectively retained the Zn(II)-AHBD/TBABr catalyst inside the reactor, allowing it reutilization for three times without loss of activity.
