摘要

•Ketanserin blocks novelty-induced neuronal activation in medial prefrontal cortex.•This is accompanied by decreased neuronal activation in the basolateral amygdala.•Ketanserin makes basolateral amygdala more reactive towards the anxiogenic stimulus.•5-HT2A blockade does not affect activation of striatal projecting amygdala neurons.
