摘要
Food protein–induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES) is a non–IgE-mediated food allergy still with significant knowledge gaps. Considerable differences have been described for different geographical areas involving key features that may influence clinical practice, such as the type and number of implicated foods and natural course of the disease.1-4 Cow's milk is the leading trigger in series from different countries1-3 except Australia, where rice is the main cause.4 The available data are skewed toward the large series from the United States,1,2 where FPIES to multiple foods and IgE sensitization to other foods appear to be common, ranging from 40% to 78%.
