摘要

•Propofol (1 μM and 10 μM) enhances GABAA-mediated inhibition in CA1-PCs.•Propofol does not enhance GABAA-mediated inhibition in DG-GCs.•Paired-pulse ratio of IPSC, mean (A2/A1) was increased by propofol in CA1-PCs.•Paired-pulse ratio of IPSC was not increased by propofol in DG-GCs.•Midazolam and propofol have similar effects on GABAA-mediated transmission.
