Reduction of influenza virus transmission from mice immunized against conserved viral antigens is influenced by route of immunization and choice of vaccine antigen.
Vaccine(2018)
摘要
•NP and M2 vaccines reduce influenza transmission from vaccinated, then infected mice.•Transmission reduction is greater with intranasal than intramuscular immunization.•The combined NP + M2 vaccine is superior to either NP or M2 alone.•Vaccination reduces both direct-contact and airborne transmission.•NP + M2 immunization of contacts prevents >50% from becoming infected by transmission.
