Comparison of treatment options for depression in heart failure: A network meta-analysis.

•Question: What is the comparative efficacy of Antidepressants (AD), Exercise Training (ET), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in treating depression in heart failure (HF) patients?•Findings: In this network meta-analysis, ET and CBT offers significant therapeutic benefits in comparison to usual standard of care in treating depression in HF patients.•Meaning: ET with/without CBT, appears to be a reasonable intervention to treat depression in HF. Large randomized clinical trials are warranted to compare the therapeutic effects of these three interventions in such patients.
