Targeting relapse prevention and positive symptom in first-episode schizophrenia using brief cognitive behavioral therapy: A pilot randomized controlled study.

•RCT was conducted for first-episode schizophrenia (FES) patients using brief CBT.•CBT targeting relapse prevention and positive symptom was effective in FES patients.•Significantly reductions in relapse, as well as improvements in positive symptoms.
